Meet the Children
These are new pictures from Summer 2023. Most of our children have been with us for at least a year, 27 have been with us from the beginning; January 2021. The smaller pictures are the first pictures Christophe took when they came to Christophe’s Children. You can see how much they have grown! There are no distended bellies now, cheeks are full and eyes are bright. They are doing so well! The children you see without a small picture inside their portrait are new to the Christophe’s Children family, so you will see updated pictures of them here next year! It brings us all tears of joy to see how much they have grown, the smiles on their faces, and the dreams for their futures they now share.

The Name Song Video
On the day of that first dinner Christophe provided for the children in February 2021, one of the children, Bahati, got everyone in a circle to start singing a song. This song helped him learn the names of others around him. The clapping and singing (in French, one of the primary languages of the area) caught on and everyone joined in. It was so good to see the children smile and participate. Some, were still shy and scared to participate at first. But with a little love and encouragement from a 6 year old and some wonderful adult helpers, everyone around the circle participated.
The NEW video at the bottom is from this Summer, July 2022, and it is the same Name Song, sung by the original 27 children welcoming in their NEW brothers and sisters at their NEW home. See those personalities shine through as they sing in their new indoor gathering space at home. Hope you enjoy. Sing and clap along if you like!
