Dancing, Singing & Moving!

Smiles, peace and “I love you” signs from the children to you!

In the pictures above and the video below, you see the children singing, smiling and dancing.  If you look back only a few months ago, the fear and anxiety in their faces has faded, and you see peace, silliness, laughter and joy.  We can all agree that the more kids jump, sing and smile, the better the world can be. Your generosity and prayers make this possible. The resilience of these children is inspiring.

Hear the children singing thank you!

One of our friends in Kalehe was able to capture on a cell phone, the children singing thank you. You can see the smiles on their faces and you can definitely hear the joy in their voices. In the video, the children are singing/chanting “Thank you Trinity, Merci Trinity”.  They are thanking Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan where many congregation members have donated funds to sponsor children, and began the movement toward more stable housing for them.

A new temporary home for the children!

As of June 15th, this is the new temporary home for Christophe’s Children.  The food storage facility that they were using now needs to be used to store food for the season; so we have found a place to rent until a permanent solution is realized.  Stay tuned on this…we are working on something exciting!
